The United States is now all agog over “transgender” issues.  A transgender person is one who supposedly identifies as the opposite sex.  For example, Bruce Jenner claims to be a woman trapped in a man’s body.  She? says she’s a transgender, and I suspect she’s probably being truthful.  Although, while she’s undergone surgery to change her appearance to a woman, she still has a penis.  And she says she still likes women.  So I guess that makes her a, what ... lesbian stuck in a man’s body?   But isn’t a man who likes to have sex with women by use of a real penis ... just a heterosexual?  I’m confused!

So anyway, ABC News reports that “our” president has now demanded that public schools allow students who supposedly identify as the opposite sex to use the bathrooms and locker rooms of the opposite sex, threatening to pull federal funding as a hammer.  Further, the school is not allowed to require any proof (such as a medical diagnosis, or other documentation) that the student is indeed “transgender”.    Of course that makes sense.  Why should society require any proof.  We don’t require it of people who self identify as handicapped before allowing use of handicapped services and parking spots, right?   Wait ....  Ok, I’m confused again ...

Anyway, the letter advises that if students are uncomfortable with self identified “transgender” individuals using their locker rooms or bathrooms, then the school should provide those students a separate single occupation bathroom.   The rationale is to avoid treating some students differently from other students.  Huh?       Http://abcnews.go.com/US/obama-administration-public-schools-transgender-students-access-bathrooms/story?id=39081956

Let me try to figure this out.  Lets say I have a penis (not “am a penis”, but “have a penis”).  And lets say that I either really am “transgender”, or just say I am “transgender”, or just want to hang out in the girl’s locker room using “transgender identity” as the way to avoid detention... or prison.  All are possible because the school is prohibited from asking for proof of any kind.  Indeed, the school can’t even limit it to an age bracket (no adults, for example).  So whatever goes.

I and my penis then can use the public girl’s restroom and locker room in my grade school, junior high and high school.  And the school can’t say “no,  you must use the bathroom for people with a penis”,  because then I’m being discriminated against by being treated differently than .... someone.  I’m not sure who.  Maybe I’m being treated differently from the girls.  But wait, girls don’t have penises, and I do.  Hmmm, who else has penises?  AHA - boys do!  So am I being treated differently from others with a penis?  No, I’m being treated the same as everyone who has a penis.   I’ll have to re-visit this.  Maybe I’m just tired or something and that’s why I can’t figure it out.

But anyway, I get to use the girl’s locker room and bathroom.

So lets assume that makes a whole bunch of angst ridden, coping with changing bodies and hormones, teenage, self doubting, uncertain girls feel uncomfortable.  I know this is a stretch.  I mean of all the things that could make a teenage girl feel uncomfortable, having a FUCKING MAN walk into the bathroom while she is using it is probably at the bottom of the list, right?  Well of course it is, because well adjusted accepting, non prejudiced girls are always going to be ok with that.  Otherwise they will be labeled and treated differently by their teachers and government because of their age and sex.  But isn’t that discrimination?  Dammit, now I’m getting a headache!

Ok, just for arguments sake, lets say that makes the girls nervous because they aren't well adjusted, and their terrible redneck parents raised them to discriminate against others.  Well then, “our” president says the school has to build a private, unisex bathroom for those silly nervous nellies.   That’s because of all those “transgender” people, right?  There must be so many of them that the whole country must throw long established mores regarding acceptable conduct relating to the safety of children out the window to cater to them.  Right?  That has to be the reason!  Why else would we let men into a grade school girl’s restroom?

Lets see, 0.3 percent of American adults identify themselves as being transgender.   Uh, I must have a decimal in the wrong place.  Wait, no, its actually 0.3 percent.  That is .003.  Or out of 100 people, 3/1000 of a person is transgender, per the William’s Institute.  ttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_demographics_of_the_United_States.  So Idaho has a population of 1.6 million, and about 20% of that population is between the ages of 5 and 18 (school age).  https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/table/PST045215/16#top.  This means there are 32 "transgender" students in the ENTIRE STATE!

That can’t be right.  Can it?  Thinking you’re a woman when you are really born a man isn’t a constitutionally protected class like race or religion.  Can we really be destroying some of the boundaries of moral conduct over 0.3% of the population’s self identification as a non-constitutionally protected status?  32 students?  Nooooo, I think the data is bad.  I’ll look at other sources!

Children can be transgender, but not all children who experiment with gender play or exhibit gender nonconforming behavior will be transgender adults. Experts say only a small fraction of young children who exhibit gender noncomforming behavior will go on to be transgender later in life. In other words, most of these children will go on to report that their sex assigned at birth aligns with their gender identity.”

Ok, so kids experiment with gender play.  Only a small fraction of those are really transgender, perhaps 2 to 4 out of 2,000.00.   Huh.  So .3% is actually about right.  Which for Idaho means about 32 students is also about right.

Why must we throw our customs, beliefs, and concepts of acceptable behavior out the window to satisfy the, lets face it, unreasonably idiotic demands of .3% of the population?   If there are the occasional gender neutral bathroom scattered around, why not have those 2 to 4 out of 2000 use them, rather than force the 2000 to use them?.   Why must we  kick the doors to our kids most private places wide open to any person willing to claim transgender status, without even requiring proof of any kind?

Why is “our” president so intent on dismantling this nation?  Can one person cause more divisiveness?

What is the matter with our Congress?   I ask that rhetorically of course, because if anyone really tries to answer that question we will still be discussing it in a month, and will be no closer to an answer. 

So the left wing position, as I understand it, is as follows:   There are too many children being killed in schools by gun toting people, mostly other kids, who are mentally disturbed, so we need gun control.  What the left is offering to the parents of Sandy Hook Elementary, and others, is background checks for non-private sales, smaller capacity magazines for semi auto guns, and a ban on assault weapons.   The left shows pictures of sobbing parents and sews fear in the hearts of the news following public to push their position, trying to frighten all of us with children into hating every person who owns a gun.   It paints a picture of the NRA and all persons citing the 2nd Amendment as establishing rights to keep and bear arms as neo nazi redneck mountain folk who want nothing more than a resurgence of the greatness of the Slave Owning South!     It is a lie!   The proposed gun legislation, if it was law, would have changed nothing at Sandy Hook, or Columbine, or any other gun related massacres making the news.  The hundreds of millions of gun owners in this Country manage to make it through day after day without shooting someone.   My children are as safe now as they will ever be when at school. 

So the right wing position, as I understand it, is as follows:  Obama and his chronies, espcially that socialist in sheep's clothing Biden, are planning to raid each and every one of our homes and take away our guns, and maybe arrest us in the process and throw us in the gulag .... especially if you say anything smacking of redneckery!   It is a lie.  No one has, nor it seems will propose government raids to remove firearms from people's possession.  It is simply creating hysteria to push a political position, garnering support through fear of something that doesn't exist .... oh wait ..... exacty like the left is doing.

I, for one am tired of it.  Why don't you all put aside the bulshit rhetoric and have an intellectually honest discussion about this problem:

This is a mental health and societal issue.  This is what happens when society closes mental health treatment centers, hospitals, and underfunds the rest.  Nearly each and every shooter suffered from mental health issues, some treated at one point or another, and some not.

You, Congress, have thrown our mental health treatment system right out the window, and nearly each and every State has followed suit. 

Really now, what did you think was going to be the result? 

Trayvon Martin

To the idiot race hysteriacs:

Stop it!   Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by George Zimmerman.  It may be murder, it may be self defense, it may be somewhere in between.   Trayvon's race may have been a factor in Zimmerman's conduct, it may not have been a factor. 

You are all speculating without evidence, creating tremendous racial tension, and tearing apart the fabric of your communities. 

Stop it!

Allow police and prosecutors to do their jobs, investigate the situation, and file charges if appropriate.  I guarantee you that they know more about the actual evidence than you do.   If they are taking the time to be careful and not make mistakes, then all power to them!  That's what we want from them, isn't it?

When will we stop defining ourselves as black Americans, white Americans, asian Americans, hispanic Americans ... and start defining ourselves as Americans, who happen to be black, white, asian, hispanic, etc.?

You know, don't you, that when you jump on the half informed train of hysteria traveling at breakneck speed toward the collapsed bridge of reason, you are contributing more to racial division than those actual racist assholes out their shouting their slogans and epithets, or demanding special treatment because they happen to be one race or another?   That train will wreck sooner or later, so long as we continue to suffer from the phalacy of intransigent ignorance.

Don't help them divide us.  Do the worse thing possible to them ... marginalize and ignore them. 

As for Trayvon Martin ... how about this for perspective:  A young man, indeed a child, is dead.   Regardless of the circumstances, it is a tragedy.  As for the rest of it ...

Paris Walks Again

Per The Associated Press, September 20, 2010, 

Paris Hilton pleaded guitly to misdemeanor Possession of Cocaine, and misdemeanor Obstructing an Officer, received no jail time, was placed on one year of unsupervised probation, fined $2,000.0, and ordered to complete 200 hours of community service and to complete a drug abuse program, and commit no new crimes other than traffic infractions.

She was arrested originally for felony possession of cocaine after a bindle dropped from her purse during the arrest of her boyfriend for DUI.  The cops pulled over her boyfriend after smelling a trail of pot smoke emanating from his vehicle.  She lied, and said the purse she was carrying was not hers, although most of the contents (at least the cash and credit cards in the purse) were hers.  Hence, the lying to the cops charge.

And she walks away again!

In virtually every other state, including Nevada, possession of cocaine is a felony and is prosecuted as a felony - apparently unless you are Paris Hilton.  So why does she skate again?  Perhaps it is her clean criminal record .... maybe that picture of innocence and sweetness, Paris Hilton, just made a  one time mistake.  Oh wait:

Earlier this year she was charged in South Africa for possession of marijuana after pot smoke billowed up from she and her entorage from the stands in the middle of a World Cup game.  Charges were dismissed when another member of her group took the heat, and said it was hers.   http://www.aolnews.com/entertainment/article/pot-smoking-charge-dropped-against-paris-hilton/19540998

Paris doesn't deny being there, with her friends, but says it was them smoking the reefer, and not her.  Sounds familiar doesn't it?  The smell of pot billows up.  The coppers check it out.  She blames it on someone else ... only in the current case, it was the unknown lender of a handbag who was at fault. 

In 2007, she was convicted of Alcohol Involved Reckless Driving ... for anyone other than Paris that would be called DUI.   She was put on probation, ordered not to violate any laws, and among other things, to enroll in and complete alcohol treatment.  The Judge suspended her drivers license as well.

She did not enroll in treatment by the deadline given to her by the Court, and was stopped three times within the months after being convicted for driving on a suspended license.  She was warned also by at least one California Highway Patrol officer of her suspension.  http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20037947,00.html

In most states, driving on a suspended license is a misdemeanor offense, punnishable by jail. 

The Court lost paitence with her repeated probation violations, and imposed 45 days in jail.  Her attorney blamed the system.  Her mother blamed the prosecutors.  The press discussed what she wore to court.  Paris, under oath, claimed it was someone else's fault, this time her rep Elliot Mintz, who she claimed told her it was o.k. to drive.  She completed the hearing by telling the Judge how much she respects the law.

Any other defendant would have been sent to complete all of the suspended jail time on the reckless driving case, been charged with new offenses for the driving without license cases, and been punnished for those offenses as well.

I don't know what is more insane ... that she gets a pass, apparently because she is Paris Hilton, or that we care.   My personal opinion about Paris Hilton?  She is an amoral spoiled rotten young woman (note the absence of the word "lady"), who makes sex tapes, violates the law, uses drugs, and draws on her celebrity status to avoid consequences.  I do not allow my children to watch anything on television involving Paris Hilton, nor do I.  She epitomizes all that is wrong with society, and nothing that is right.  I challenge any reader out there to identify one decent and honorable thing Hilton has done, which was done for truly altruistic purposes (not to get her name in the press, or not to create a public image that is untrue).

What does Paris deserve?  Two things:  1.  She deserves to be held accountable by the court system in the same manner as all others for her law violations.  Send a message, you Judges out there, to all others who pay attention to Paris ....  Do not do as she does!   2:  For the rest of us, she deserves to be ignored.  She is not worthy of public respect, or even public attention.

I'll end with this final comment:  Starting right now, I intend to treat Paris Hilton in the press the same way I would treat her if she showed up at my house asking to take my daughter out for a night on the town ....  "No, Leave, I don't want to see or hear from you again, your simple presence makes me feel like I need to take a shower".

Of course I could have her arrested for trespassing, but we all know how well that would work out.

Jets Accused of Harassment - Inez Sainz

These are photos of Inez Sainz, a sideline sports reporter for TV Azteca.   No, folks, these are not photos of Ms. Sainz on vacation, or at home ... this really is how she dresses for work.   

To summarize her story for those who don't know, Sainz recently attended a New York Jets practice to interview quarterback Sanchez.  While in the locker room, dressed in the blue jeans (or blue spray paint pants) above, Sainz tweeted that she was "dying of embarrassment" because Jets players began whistling, yelling and unfurling their tongues at her.  Sainz noticed but stated to the CBS Early Show that she decided to not pay attention.  Other members of the press however complained, and the Association for Women in Sports filed a claim on her behalf.  Although she says she was not thretened, she apparently did nothing to stop the complaint.  http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/39239362/ns/sports-nfl/.

To recap:  Dressed in the manner shown above;   Ms. Sainz entered into a male professional football locker room after practice;  where she encountered juvenile and stupid behavior from some Jets players;  and the Association for Women in Sports filed a complaint on her behalf. 

I make no attempt in this blog to defend the Jets.  They were stupid, juvenile and wrong.  It is insane however that no one will discuss Sainz.  When discussed on the View, the panel actually took offense with percieved criticism of Sainz.  A woman should be able to dress and act as she wishes, and not be subjected to Jets type of comments and behavior. 

That is insane:  What a person chooses to put on their body, whether clothes, tattoos, piercings, gold teeth, etc., is a form of communication.  For example:  If I dressed and acted like a gangbanger covered in prison tats, I'm telling people that the gangster lifestyle appeals to me.  When the local bank doesn't hire me, is that the bank's fault?  When people on the street cross to the other side to avoid me, is that their fault?  They are just receiving the message I am sending ... I'm one bad mother with a teener of meth in one pocket and an illegal pistol in the other.  If I don't like it, I always have the option of sending a different message.

Ms. Sainz dresses and acts to deliberately draw attention to her "goodies".  She screams with her presentation "I've got lots of T & A.  Look at my T & A.".  It is unprofessinal, and demeaning to professional women in general.  Las Vegas sidewalk prostitutes wear more clothing that that. 

So the Jets, in their own locker room, get her message loud and clear.  And they respond, not like adults of course, more like twelve year old boys with stolen copy of Playboy, but they do respond and they respond in kind.

Some might say Ms. Sainz brought this on herself.  If she wans to dress like a slut, she shouldn't bitch when she is treated like a slut .... oh wait .... she isn't the one complaining.  It is the Association for Women in Sports that complained. 

Come on ladies, start policing your own!  Your killing what credibilty reporters like ESPN's Erin Andrews have built for female sports reporters.  Grow up and put on a pair of slacks!
